Help us to improve CICA for victims of trafficking

ATLEU is gathering information about the experiences of victims of trafficking when they make applications to the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA).

We want to hear from support providers and legal practitioners about their experiences supporting victims through this process. We're also keen to hear from people who think the system is too complicated as well as those who find it hard to get advice about the process and don't feel able to support victims’ applications.

The government has announced a review of the CICA scheme with a consultation due to take place later this year. We will use the information you provide in this survey to:

  • Support our written response to the government consultation

  • Guide our choice of cases for strategic litigation over the coming months

  • Advocate for improved services and protection from CICA for victims of trafficking

Please help us by taking 10 minutes to complete our short survey.  We will ask for your contact information in case we need more detail on any of your responses. We will not share your or your organisation's details publicly, or to any third party, without your express permission.

The new deadline for responses is now 5pm on Thursday 11 April 2019.
