  • Julian Bild

    Julian is a supervising solicitor specialising in immigration law, based in London. Julian leads ATLEU’s immigration law team. He has over 25 years’ experience of practising immigration law, qualifying as a solicitor in 1997. He has specialised in representing asylum seekers and has extensive experience of general immigration work. Julian has many years of experience working as a consultant, trainer, and lecturer in immigration and asylum law and practice.

    While at ATLEU, he has developed particular expertise representing victims of trafficking and modern slavery. He was shortlisted as a finalist in the immigration category in the 2020 Legal Aid Lawyer of the Year Awards. He has contributed to numerous publications including the HJT Immigration Manual, the Law Society’s Immigration and Asylum Handbook, Butterworth's Immigration Law Service and in 2020 he contributed to the design of the Law Society’s online IAAS re-accreditation materials. He is also a senior assessor for the Law Society’s Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme. He has trained for ILPA, HJT, lectured for the Law Society, and has drafted the OISC’s competence assessments. His notable trafficking cases include MS (Pakistan) v Secretary of State for the Home Department [2020] UKSC 9.
