Victoria is ATLEU’s Director and Co-Founder. Victoria is a solicitor with over a decade’s experience practising social welfare law. Since establishing ATLEU Victoria has led the organisation’s strategy and development, growing the team from five to over twenty. She is focused on maximising ATLEU’s impact through collaboration, sharing learning and expertise, and partnering with survivors to effect change. Victoria was called to the bar in 2009 and cross qualified to become a solicitor in 2014. She has represented survivors of trafficking and slavery across a range of legal issues including housing, employment, discrimination and public law, human rights act claims and recovering compensation from traffickers.

Jamila Duncan-Bosu is a founding solicitor of ATLEU. She is a supervising solicitor specialising in employment and discrimination law, based in our London office. Jamila leads ATLEU’s compensation legal team. Jamila qualified as a solicitor in 2009 and has over fifteen years’ experience representing survivors of trafficking and slavery in compensation claims against their trafficker or those who have benefitted from their exploitation.

Carita is a supervising solicitor specialising in immigration and public law, based in our Sheffield office. Carita is ATLEU’s Head of Legal Practice and leads ATLEU’s legal casework team, manages our legal aid contracts and oversees ATLEU’s advice line for professionals. Carita joined ATLEU in 2015 becoming Head of Legal Practice in 2019. Carita qualified as a solicitor in 2008 and has over fifteen years’ experience of immigration and asylum casework for survivors of exploitation in particular. She is accredited as a senior immigration caseworker and supervisor under the Law Society's Immigration & Asylum Accreditation Scheme.

Lindsay Cundall is a supervising solicitor specialising in public law, based in ATLEU’s Sheffield office. Lindsay leads our Housing and Support legal team and ATLEU’s public law strategic litigation. She also brings significant experience of developing and delivering training, initially joining ATLEU as a Training Lead in 2020. Lindsay qualified as a solicitor in 2017 and has fourteen years’ experience representing asylum seekers and survivors of modern slavery in immigration and public law matters. Lindsay is qualified as a Level 2 Senior Caseworker and a Supervisor under the Law Society's Immigration & Asylum Accreditation Scheme (IAAS) scheme.

Irene is a Chartered Legal Executive/Immigration Practitioner, based in ATLEU’s London office. She joined ATLEU in 2024 and leads the immigration law team. Irene has over ten years’ experience in the immigration advice sector and is accredited as a supervising senior caseworker under the Law Society’s Immigration & Asylum Accreditation Scheme. Irene’s experience includes representing vulnerable clients, including victims of exploitation, in a variety of immigration, asylum and public law matters. Before joining ATLEU Irene was a teacher and Head of English as an Additional Language in London secondary schools.

Kulvinder Gill is a supervising solicitor specialising in compensation claims against public authorities based in our Sheffield office. She qualified as a solicitor in 2000 and has over twenty years’ experience representing vulnerable clients pursuing complaints and claims against the police, local authorities, Home Office and other public bodies.

She qualified as a solicitor in 2018 and has over eight years’ experience representing vulnerable clients in housing and public law issues. -

Beth is a supervising solicitor specialising in immigration and public law, based in our London office. Beth leads ATLEU’s Legal Training and Partnerships programme. Beth qualified as a solicitor in 2014 and has twelve years of experience of advising and assisting asylum seekers and survivors of trafficking. Beth brings experience of working in policy development and expertise in trauma informed working.

Shakila is a solicitor specialising in immigration law, based in our Sheffield office. Shakila joined ATLEU in 2022 as a Justice First Fellow and qualified as a solicitor in 2024. She advises and represents victims of trafficking and exploitation on a range of immigration, asylum and nationality issues. Shakila is accredited by the Law Society's Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme as a Senior Caseworker.

Freddy is a paralegal (MCILEx) in ATLEU’s London office and specialises in recovering compensation from the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority. Freddy has over six years’ experience assisting lawyers representing survivors of trafficking, migrants and asylum seekers. Freddy also assists solicitors with strategic litigation, training and supporting pro bono lawyers to help survivors to recover compensation.

She advises and represents victims of trafficking and exploitation on a range of immigration, asylum and nationality issues.She is accredited as a senior immigration caseworker and supervisor under the Law Society's Immigration & Asylum Accreditation Scheme.

Caroline joined ATLEU in 2019 as Head of Operations, bringing more than 25 years of senior management and operational leadership in funding, charity management and local government.
Caroline leads on human resources, finance, governance and compliance, IT and overall operations for ATLEU.

Amy joined ATLEU in 2023, bringing over 20 years’ experience of charity fundraising, communications and communities development expertise in the field of refugee rights, gender equality, racial justice and homelessness. Amy leads on ATLEU’s fundraising and philanthropic partnerships. Before joining ATLEU, Amy was the Trusts and Foundations Manager for an international development charity progressing the UN sustainable development goals. Amy is a trustee on the board for Survivors of Human Trafficking in Scotland. She was previously the Co-Chair for the board of Refugee Sanctuary Scotland.

Joana joined ATLEU in February 2024 as Operations and Projects Coordinator, bringing project management, IT and customer service skills and experience. Joana provides operational support on a range of areas of our work including training, legal practice, IT and health and safety.

Kuda (LLB Law) joined ATLEU in 2020, bringing 12 years’ experience of recovering legal aid and inter partes costs. Kuda initially joined ATLEU through a billing project funded by the London Legal Support Trust and continues to work as a Billing Coordinator for ATLEU as well as assisting the Mary Ward Legal Center and Greenwich Housing Rights. Kuda also runs the Legal Aid Billing Group sponsored by the London Legal Trust.

Rosie joined ATLEU in September 2022 as Activism & Engagement Manager (Lived Experience), to maximise the influence and participation of people with lived experience within ATLEU and the anti-trafficking sector. Since 2018 she has worked in survivor activism, establishing a lived experience panel as part of her role managing an advocacy service for women with complex mental health needs relating to experiences of gendered violence and most recently, developing SafeLives' Authentic Voice work amplifying the voice of those impacted by domestic abuse. Prior to this, she has worked as an advocate in several contexts with people from refugee and asylum seeking backgrounds and women who have been trafficked or experienced gendered violence, including as a First Responder for the POPPY Project. Rosie is currently on maternity leave.

Kate joined ATLEU in May 2022 as Policy Manager. Kate has twenty years experience in research, campaigning and advocacy for non-governmental oranisations, including fifteen years experience in the anti-trafficking and anti-slavery sector. Before joining ATLEU, Kate worked at Anti-Slavery International as their International Advocacy Manager. In this role, she led international policy and influencing work across all of Anti-Slavery International's regional and thematic programmes and projects, and acted as the organisation's main representative to the United Nations. Lydia leads ATLEU’s Lived Experience group in ATLEU's Policy Unit, and coordinates the Anti Trafficking Lived Experience Coalition. Lydia joined ATLEU in May 2024, bringing over three years’ experience of co-production with migrants who are minoritised by systemic and structural inequalities. Marsha has worked in marketing, campaigns and research in the voluntary and creative sectors since 2001. She joined ATLEU in November 2015 as their Marketing Projects manager. Marsha is a senior project manager who was previously at UCL where she was managing a national pilot survey at the Institute of Child Health. She has also worked at The Children’s Society in a variety of roles across media, campaigns and marketing.
