Training Bundle

All six training sessions aimed at support providers and legal advisors for the price of four, because we recognise that these courses are best taken together.

The six sessions are as follows:

  • Wednesday 12 June 10-12pm: Evidence
    What expert evidence is available, what is useful and how this is funded on legal aid,

    Wednesday 26 June 1-3pm: Legal challenges
    How to challenge negative NRM decisions by making reconsideration requests, the appeals process and judicial review

    Wednesday 18 September 2-4pm: Criminal injuries compensation
    A practical overview of the CICA scheme and how it interacts with other compensation routes

  • Wednesday 2 October 10-12pm: Legal representation
    Referring survivors for immigration or criminal advice can be complex. This will provide a comprehensive overview of the legal aid rules and focus on the practical skills needed.

    Thursday 24 October 10-12pm: Safeguarding survivors of modern slavery
    Steps to take to prevent retrafficking and further exploitation

    Wednesday 13 November 10-12pm: Accommodation and support for victims of trafficking
    Legal duties to provide accommodation and support for survivors
